Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Castro kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Diabosvermelhos FC defense, Pedro Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusébio Gomes. The Diabosvermelhos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusébio Gomes should have stopped the shot. Delfim Mota's late challenge caught a Diabosvermelhos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Mota helped the player get up and apologised. Delfim Mota hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Rafael Santarém sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bairrao FC's Cristóvão Dantas didn't even have to move. 11 minutes into the match, Delfim Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusébio Gomes. Diabosvermelhos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Diabosvermelhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Castro came free, but Eusébio Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Castro took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusébio Gomes. Eusébio Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 20th minute, Emílio Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bairrao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Eusébio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Diabosvermelhos FC booed when Bairrao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Gomes having to interfere. Eusébio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Emílio Vaz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Vaz in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Gomes saved Diabosvermelhos FC from getting behind. Henrique Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Gomes having to make a save. Pedro Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bairrao FC's Pedro Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Diabosvermelhos FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Francisco Leiria hit a great ball. Nuno Paiva struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Eusébio Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bairrao FC. After the first half Bairrao FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Francisco Leiria made the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Gomes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. Eusébio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Vaz in the 60th minute of play. Pedro Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eusébio Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Pedro Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eusébio Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Bairrao FC's Eusébio Gomes threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emílio Vaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th minute, Bairrao FC's Emílio Vaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Pedro Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Eusébio Gomes made a huge save. Diabosvermelhos FC's Eusébio Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Paiva in the 87th minute of play. Eusébio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Pedro Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuno Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Gomes having to interfere. Bairrao FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
