He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alcides Pimenta. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Malaqueijo FC's zone, Benedito Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alcides Pimenta came out of the goal and Benedito Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Lanhoso's Kevin Belém nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alcides Pimenta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Malaqueijo FC's Alcides Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Tinoco in the 61st minute of play. Malaqueijo FC's Rubim Teves got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Quental fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alcides Pimenta having to interfere.
