Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angelo Leão started the match with the kick off. In the 7th match minute, Malaqueijo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Severo to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jairo Vilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alcides Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C Pernas de Pau's Angelo Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Vilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alcides Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The referee gave F.C Pernas de Pau a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André lacerda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Malaqueijo FC's Alcides Pimenta. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Malaqueijo FC's zone, Jairo Vilar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alcides Pimenta came out of the goal and Jairo Vilar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Malaqueijo FC's Alcides Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Vilar in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Claudemiro Barcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malaqueijo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudemiro Barcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudemiro Barcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Adalberto Queiroga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alcides Pimenta, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alcides Pimenta. That made the score 1-3 in the 57 minute of play. A collision led to F.C Pernas de Pau getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Leonardo Fiúza hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Éder Lages hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Malaqueijo FC's goalkeeper Alcides Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Vilar. In the 78th match minute, F.C Pernas de Pau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamilton Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Malaqueijo FC's Adão Macieira tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jairo Vilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malaqueijo FC's Alcides Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Malaqueijo FC from getting a goal against them. Claudemiro Barcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Claudemiro Barcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C Pernas de Pau's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
