Cassiano Lousada came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER's Nuno Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Nuno Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Heitor Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Lousada having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Nuno Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. António Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cassiano Lousada having to make a save. If Heitor Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Figueira hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Heitor Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the INTER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Baptista couldn't finish the play. Cassiano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Moura in the 38th minute of play. Heitor Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Lousada having to interfere. Pedro Figueira hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Nuno Figueiredo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cassiano Lousada. That made the score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. INTER's António Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd play minute Heitor Baptista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cassiano Lousada. 0-4. Paulo Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Poças in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as António Sousa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cassiano Lousada. That made the score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. Heitor Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Cassiano Lousada made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Poças in the 77th minute of play forced INTER's goalkeeper Paulo Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Abel Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cassiano Lousada was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. If Heitor Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
