After having played for 29 minutes, Máximo Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pássaro F. C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Máximo Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Máximo Santana in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vicente Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Máximo Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Eurico Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Pássaro F. C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Máximo Santana made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Jarbas Poças cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. With his leg Domingos Soeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Pássaro F. C's Eurico Luz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Pássaro F. C booed when Tondela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordão Miguéis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pássaro F. C played a much better game than Tondela FC and deserved their victory. The Tondela FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
