The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alf Tingelholm made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Marco Magalhães sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Tingelholm having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Severino Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Catarino Pedroso was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With a little luck, Beato FC's Alf Tingelholm got control of the ball when Marco Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severino Fantini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Catarino Pedroso having to make a save. When Severino Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Beato FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Fantini couldn't finish the play. Marco Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alf Tingelholm having to make a save. Rui Silva's late challenge caught a Beato FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Silva helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes SC Lordelo got a freekick which was hit by Rui Silva. In the 46th minute, SC Lordelo's Emanuel Tavares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Tavares to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Beato FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Leão. In the 55th minute Emanuel Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Pedroso made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Severino Fantini sent off a good shot on target. After 62 minutes, Gaspar Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beato FC and the SC Lordelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Beato FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Afonso Jesus hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Beato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Magalhães came free, but Alf Tingelholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Lordelo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rui Aguiar in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on SC Lordelo's corner Rui Aguiar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alf Tingelholm quite easily take care of the ball. Afonso Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Lordelo's Catarino Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Fantini in the 78th minute of play. Alf Tingelholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Lordelo booed when Beato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Tingelholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Magalhães in the 91st minute of the match. When Alexandre Matos came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SC Lordelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Matos couldn't finish the play. SC Lordelo's Emanuel Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Lordelo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
