The supporters of Sperare Futebol Clube booed when Meade FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Valido didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Severino Valido fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meade FC's protests and gave Severino Valido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Severino Valido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Álvares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Germano Morais did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alcides Pessoa 9 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Morais got free with Alcides Pessoa in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Donato Onofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Esteves struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aprígio Lucena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meade FC. Murilo Lisboa spun around in front of the goal 18 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Alcides Pessoa grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. In the 19th of the match, Murilo Lisboa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alcides Pessoa got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Murilo Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Germano Morais notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Meade FC's Alcides Pessoa. Alcides Pessoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Germano Morais had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alcides Pessoa. Meade FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germano Morais was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Murilo Lisboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alcides Pessoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Aprígio Lucena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Sardinha in the 40th minute of play. Germano Morais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Alcides Pessoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Meade FC defense, Germano Morais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alcides Pessoa. The Meade FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alcides Pessoa should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murilo Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Sardinha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aprígio Lucena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sperare Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hermenegildo Lencastre hit a great ball. Germano Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Sperare Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aprígio Lucena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidónio Valido. After a defensive mix-up in Sperare Futebol Clube's zone, Francisco Sardinha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aprígio Lucena came out of the goal and Francisco Sardinha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sidónio Valido came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Meade FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidónio Valido couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meade FC's goalkeeper Alcides Pessoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sperare Futebol Clube's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
