Filipe Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Filipe Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Sampaio having to interfere. Joaquim Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Nunes in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Campos in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Sampaio saved Grupo Desportivo Portel from getting behind. After 46 played minutes Alvelos FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Neves. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvelos FC's goalkeeper Nuno Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

After a defensive mix-up in Grupo Desportivo Portel's zone, Mariano Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Sampaio came out of the goal and Mariano Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alvelos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
