CONLELAS FC's Gaspar Castanheira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pimenta in the 11th minute of play. When João Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pequenina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pimenta couldn't finish the play. When Homero Mascarenhas fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pequenina's protests and gave Homero Mascarenhas a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pequenina! The referee gave CONLELAS FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lisandro Fidalgo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pequenina's Gastão Sarmento. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aprígio Quintanilha in the 58th minute of play forced Pequenina's goalkeeper Gastão Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Alcides Sardinha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gastão Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Baldaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Castanheira having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Pequenina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Padilha to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Baldaia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gaspar Castanheira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcides Sardinha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aprígio Quintanilha took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gastão Sarmento. Gastão Sarmento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 83 minutes, Carlos Baldaia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pequenina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Baldaia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gastão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Sardinha in the 87th minute of play. CONLELAS FC's Gaspar Castanheira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Trindade in the 92nd minute of play.
