Spectators: 6802 (Terracing: 5012, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvério Onofre kicked off to start the match. Silvério Onofre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeferino Palma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Zeferino Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Lustosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Juvenal Mendes's late challenge caught a Limeira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juvenal Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. Juvenal Mendes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SL Benfica's zone, Silvério Onofre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeferino Palma came out of the goal and Silvério Onofre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvério Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Limeira FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
