The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristiano Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Linhares having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Real Madrid Castilla's Mariano Barbosa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Linhares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the match, Cristiano Tavares notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Arcanjos FC's Honorato Linhares. Honorato Linhares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Honorato Linhares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Barbosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 54 minute of play. Mariano Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Honorato Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristiano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Jacinto Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 93 in the game by Mariano Barbosa from a close distance when the talented Honorato Linhares managed to make a qualified save. Arcanjos FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Granja in the 95th minute of play forced Real Madrid Castilla's goalkeeper Gustavo Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Arcanjos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Madrid Castilla were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
