Spectators: 4160 (Terracing: 4060, Seating: 100, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Valente started the match with the kick off. Lucas Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zarco Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amado Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes in the game Filipe Lima did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Noel Palha. Gustavo Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atiaes's Lucas Costa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Amado Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Fontes having to interfere. Jorge Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Nuno Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benfica Atlético Clube. After 32 played minutes Atiaes got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Pereira. After a rather tough play, Benfica Atlético Clube's Filipe Lima got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Benfica Atlético Clube's Zarco Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Costa in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Amado Brás made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Mendes. Atiaes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Lucas Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atiaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarco Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Lucas Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Fontes having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Carlos Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zarco Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 75th minute, Samuel Medinilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amado Brás in the 88th minute. When Noel Palha came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Benfica Atlético Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Palha couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Atiaes got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Barbosa. Benfica Atlético Clube were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
