In a very dangerous position, a player in Feteira FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Castanheiro FC. Filipe Paredes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving David Tristão. 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Castanheiro FC's José Campos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Tristão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Feteira FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Campos came free, but David Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feteira FC's David Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Simões in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Feteira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidónio Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Simões in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Tristão saved Feteira FC from getting behind. In the 24th minute Paulo Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Campos in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Feteira FC booed when Castanheiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Simões scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Tristão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 minutes of play, Castanheiro FC's Paulo Simões made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Tristão was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Castanheiro FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

José Camposs short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got David Tristão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. José Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. David Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rafael Curado fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feteira FC's protests and gave Rafael Curado a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Tristão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Feteira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Simões came free, but David Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute of the match, José Campos got a very nice opportunity to score, but David Tristão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Daniel Vieira notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Feteira FC's David Tristão. David Tristão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Campos struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. David Tristão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro FC. 85 minutes into the game, Simão Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castanheiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Feteira FC the free kick. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Feteira FC's goalkeeper David Tristão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Castanheiro FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Castanheiro FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
