Sail FC's Cassiano Damásio got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Pedroes's Joaquim Almeida got a free kick in the 25th minute. Geraldo Paixão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geraldo Paixão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 35 minutes, Marco Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pedroes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Geraldo Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Matias Moita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sail FC's Matias Moita got a free kick in the 40th minute. Sail FC's Geraldo Paixão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Sail FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 61 minutes, Joaquim Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pedroes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Marco Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geraldo Paixão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquilino Vilaverde during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Simões in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geraldo Paixão saved Sail FC from getting behind.
