After 8 minutes, Laurentino Sequeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Recarei Futebol Clube and the SC Lavacolhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Recarei Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Galvão got free with Tarcísio Belém in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
