The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Firminos's Joaquim Fernandes in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 33rd minute Joaquim Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Firminos's Joaquim Fernandes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Guerreiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Firminos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Joaquim Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Júlio Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvério Linhares made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Silvério Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jorge Coimbra came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Firminos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Coimbra couldn't finish the play. If Joaquim Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Firminos's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Linhares came free, but Tomás Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Coimbra got free with Júlio Guerreiro in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júlio Guerreiro was a little too slow when Joaquim Fernandes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-3. 81 minutes into the match, Firminos's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Linhares came free, but Tomás Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Vargas during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Firminos booed when Regoufe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Jorge Coimbra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Júlio Guerreiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Firminos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
