Alexandrino Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almiro Fontes in the 8th minute of play. Witold Osowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alcino Leitão having to make a save. 11 minutes into the game, Rui Assunção cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alcino Leitão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Assunção in the 11th minute of play forced SC Belece's goalkeeper Alcino Leitão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes SC Belece got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Quadros. Alexandrino Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but António Leiria made a huge save. If Rui Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Rui Assunção left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barroselas F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Rui Assunção had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alcino Leitão. SC Belece's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Assunção was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After having played for 35 minutes, Witold Osowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barroselas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witold Osowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alcino Leitão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Armando Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcino Leitão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Assunção was the one to do the kick off. Alcino Leitão was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marek Bykowski. Witold Osowski in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alcino Leitão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Mateus Viveiros fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Belece's protests and gave Mateus Viveiros a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Belece getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mateus Viveiros hit a great ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Barroselas F.C's Rui Assunção in the 57th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alcino Leitão was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Belece through an amazing save. SC Belece's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Inácio Quadros in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Rui Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcino Leitão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Witold Osowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rui Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barroselas F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Assunção was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alcino Leitão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio Leal's late challenge caught a SC Belece's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Leal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Barroselas F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Leal to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th match minute, SC Belece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martinho Lage to maneuver through the defense. If Witold Osowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Belece's Lisandro Pessoa got a free kick in the 81st minute. With an all-out effort, Barroselas F.C's Alcino Leitão threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rui Assunção, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the SC Belece defense, Rui Assunção kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alcino Leitão. The SC Belece fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alcino Leitão should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Osowski got free with Alcino Leitão in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Almiro Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. António Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Barroselas F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Belece.
