A collision led to Leixões S.C getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Egídio Parente hit a great ball. FC das Terriveis's Tomás Machado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 14th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Porfírio Campos but with some difficulty. When Francisco Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC das Terriveis's protests and gave Francisco Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC das Terriveis getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Francisco Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Zeferino Calçada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Monteiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With 21 minutes on the clock, Raimundo Antunes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Andres Beltza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Porfírio Campos having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Andres Beltza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC das Terriveis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With his leg Porfírio Campos managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when FC das Terriveis's Dinu Filimon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Leixões S.C's Porfírio Campos got control of the ball when Dinu Filimon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Leixões S.C's goalkeeper Porfírio Campos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Magalhães. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andres Beltza to strike the kick off in the second half. Estevão Roriz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A well done corner resulted in Vicente Correia drilling the ball in to score 4-0 behind Leixões S.C's goalkeeper. Dinu Filimon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Leixões S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Filimon came free, but Porfírio Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Porfírio Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Filimon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Porfírio Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Beltza in the 76th minute of play. Andres Beltza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinu Filimon struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Porfírio Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC das Terriveis. After a defensive mix-up in Leixões S.C's zone, Dinu Filimon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porfírio Campos came out of the goal and Dinu Filimon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fernando Marques fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC das Terriveis's protests and gave Fernando Marques a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Leixões S.C booed when FC das Terriveis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FC das Terriveis's Andres Beltza in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
