Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frederic Seurin started the match with the kick off. Silvinho Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Cunha having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Silvinho Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Cunha. Embarbez FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvinho Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 26th match minute, Embarbez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Frederic Seurin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 31 played minutes Embarbez FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Paiva. 31 minutes into the match, Embarbez FC's goalkeeper Vítor Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvinho Pinho. Vítor Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvinho Pinho in the 33rd minute. Silvinho Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vítor Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, SC Belver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederic Seurin to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Araújo in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes, Jorge Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Embarbez FC and the SC Belver players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Embarbez FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Matos. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Veiga made a kick off. Diogo Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Álvaro Amaral was a little too slow when Tiago Veiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-1. Álvaro Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Veiga in the 61st minute of play. SC Belver's Frederic Seurin got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Silvinho Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frederic Seurin struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Vítor Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Belver. After some careless play in the Embarbez FC defense, Frederic Seurin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Cunha. The Embarbez FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Cunha should have stopped the shot. Vítor Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Silvinho Pinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vítor Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the game, Tomás Pires threw the ball into play from the sideline. SC Belver's Joaquim Pacheco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Frederic Seurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Embarbez FC's zone, Silvinho Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Cunha came out of the goal and Silvinho Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederic Seurin in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Belver's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
