António Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Carmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Moreira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Matacaes booed when Chamadouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Chamadouro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Peseiro came free, but António Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomé Carmo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, André Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chamadouro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Horta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute Júlio Vaz suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Sílvio Peseiro was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Chamadouro FC's Gabriel Alves was substituted for Júlio Vaz. The supporters of Chamadouro FC booed when Matacaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Rocha couldn't finish the play. Carlos Gueifão's late challenge caught a Matacaes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Gueifão helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Chamadouro FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
