Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) When Valflor's Júlio Melo in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montelavar's goalie prevented a goal. Simão Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Alberto Valente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Paredes. Montelavar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Valente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Simão Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Valente in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match, Rafael Esteves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardo Coelho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 16th minute, Emanuel Dantas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão Paredes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Montelavar's Simão Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Melo in the 21st minute of play. Júlio Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Melo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Paredes saved Montelavar from getting behind. If Emanuel Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Melo in the 41st minute of the match. Armando Pinheiro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Montelavar defense, Alberto Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Paredes. The Montelavar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Paredes should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bento Nascimento made a kick off. Simão Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Dantas in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Montelavar's Armando Pinheiro got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Valflor getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alberto Valente hit a great ball. Júlio Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Simão Paredes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Simão Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Dantas in the 61st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Júlio Melo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eusébio Alves hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Afonso Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Valflor's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Nascimento came free, but Ricardo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Montelavar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Bento Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th match minute, Valflor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Nunes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Valflor's zone, Rafael Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Coelho came out of the goal and Rafael Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Valflor's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Nascimento came free, but Ricardo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valflor's Ricardo Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Nascimento in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Cândido Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Simão Paredes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Júlio Melos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Simão Paredes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Bob Vrolijcx kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simão Paredes. That made the score 0-6 in the 89 minute of play. Ricardo Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Esteves went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Valflor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
