With a little luck, SC Valondrina's Gustavo Prada got control of the ball when Filipe Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Telmo Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Medeiros got free with Gustavo Prada in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 minutes, Daniel Graça made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Special F.C.Porto's Daniel Paixão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Monsanto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Daniel Graça came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SC Valondrina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Graça couldn't finish the play. After 17 played minutes Special F.C.Porto got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Quaresma. 24 minutes into the game, Daniel Graça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Daniel Paixão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilson Monsanto's late challenge caught a SC Valondrina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Monsanto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Special F.C.Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Monsanto to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Monsanto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. SC Valondrina's Jairo Machado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Special F.C.Porto. In the 43rd minute Octávio Balsemão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Valondrina's Gustavo Prada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save SC Valondrina from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, SC Valondrina's Laurentino Taveira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Laurentino Taveira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Valondrina protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Laurentino Taveira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 47 minutes into the game, one of SC Valondrina:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SC Valondrina:s Gustavo Prada showed great skill when he stopped Vladimiro Lage:s penalty. After the first half SC Valondrina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octávio Balsemão to make the kick off. Special F.C.Porto's Daniel Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Furtado in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Manuel Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Special F.C.Porto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Gustavo Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octávio Balsemão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Octávio Balsemão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Special F.C.Porto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Special F.C.Porto booed when SC Valondrina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Prada having to interfere. Gustavo Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. José Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
