But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Sousa couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Moutinho was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Chacim's Pedro Santos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belchior Macena. That made the score 1-4 after 81 minutes of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Os Cabanenses's goalkeeper Belchior Macena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chacim's António Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Chacim could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Os Cabanenses throughout the match.
