After a rather tough play, HunosFC's Alexandre Resende got a free kick in the 24th minute. With splendid footwork Mariano Ramos arrived in front of goal to shoot 5-0 by the left pole in the game's 27th minute. Eusébio Sabrosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Ramos in the 31st minute of the match. Eusébio Sabrosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Adolfo Calçada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If João Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. HunosFC's Paulo Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Anjos in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Anjos was the one to do the kick off. Adolfo Calçada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Paulo Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Sabrosa having to interfere. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Francesco Salvadore sped through Al-Gharb United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eusébio Sabrosa. The supporters of HunosFC booed when Al-Gharb United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Diegues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francesco Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Francesco Salvadore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Sabrosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, João Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. HunosFC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Sabrosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of HunosFC booed when Al-Gharb United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermano Palhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Ramos struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Eusébio Sabrosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HunosFC. Artur Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Paulo Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Calçada in the 85th minute of play. When HunosFC's Mariano Ramos in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
