After a rather tough play, Corcas FC's Jorge Coimbra got a free kick in the 9th minute. Clube Oriental De Lisboa's Armindo Bernardes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Corcas FC. Rui Azevedo was a little too slow when Emílio Mota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 17th minute, one of Clube Oriental De Lisboa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clube Oriental De Lisboa. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Corcas FC's Paulo Coimbra got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rui Azevedo. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Corcas FC! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Clube Oriental De Lisboa. Armindo Bernardes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miguel Soares. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armindo Azevedo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emílio Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Armindo Bernardes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Adolfo Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Clube Oriental De Lisboa's corner Armindo Bernardes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miguel Soares quite easily take care of the ball. Adolfo Linhares got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Miguel Soares handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Adolfo Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Adolfo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Soares having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Linhares made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Corcas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucílio Quintanilha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lucílio Quintanilha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Clube Oriental De Lisboa booed when Corcas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Lucílio Quintanilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Miguel Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Lucílio Quintanilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Oriental De Lisboa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucílio Quintanilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Clube Oriental De Lisboa's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Cabral came free, but Rui Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Corcas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Lucílio Quintanilha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Soares. Corcas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucílio Quintanilha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Joaquim Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes Clube Oriental De Lisboa got a freekick which was hit by Donato Bacelar. José Anjos's late challenge caught a Clube Oriental De Lisboa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Clube Oriental De Lisboa booed when Corcas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Armindo Bernardes in the 97th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Miguel Soares's left hand side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corcas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clube Oriental De Lisboa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
