Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lisandro Coimbra started the match with the kick off. Gonçalo Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Gonçalo Vaz made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Egídio Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Gonçalo Vaz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 10 minutes into the game, Adolfo Faro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonardo Toscano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Alcides Espírito Santo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baiao's protests and gave Alcides Espírito Santo a yellow card for diving instead. Alcides Espírito Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Vasco Neves put in a rough tackle. 22 minutes into the game, one of Ribolhos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The excitement rose when Baiao's Raimundo Valadares after 25 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Ribolhos's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. With an all-out effort, Baiao's Gonçalo Vaz threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from António Gaspar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd minute, Lisandro Coimbra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baiao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gonçalo Vaz made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Alcides Espírito Santo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Luís Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribolhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Egídio Travassos could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Gonçalo Vaz however easily saved by the left post. After 40 played minutes Ribolhos got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Faro. Ribolhos's Gonçalo Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ribolhos from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Coimbra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Lisandro Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baiao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luís Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ribolhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Carvalho couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the game, Baiao's Lisandro Coimbra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonçalo Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. If Luís Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lisandro Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute Egídio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Coimbra, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Travassos in the 74th minute of play forced Ribolhos's goalkeeper Gonçalo Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Luís Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Ribolhos's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Coimbra came free, but Gonçalo Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alcides Espírito Santo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rdth minute of the game Luís Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baiao's Leonardo Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonçalo Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Coimbra in the 85th minute of the match. Gonçalo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lisandro Coimbra scored 4-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonçalo Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ribolhos's Gonçalo Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Travassos in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Baiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Baiao walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
