Augusto Valentim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermes Parente might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílcar Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermes Parente ran back to his position shaking his head. Adão Quintanilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Amílcar Cabral made a huge save. Augusto Valentim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Telinhos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Severiano hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Augusto Valentim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Telinhos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Bests FC's Silvano Ribeiro got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 32 minutes, Isac Severiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcel and the Bests FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isac Severiano hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Flávio Telinhos came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Bests FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Telinhos couldn't finish the play. Caetano Severiano's late challenge caught a Bests FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Severiano helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Bests FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Festas. Flávio Telinhos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Festas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Valentim having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Festas made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Bests FC's Bruno Festas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Augusto Valentim. Augusto Valentim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Hermes Parente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Flávio Telinhos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Valentim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 62 minutes, Vicente Noronha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bests FC and the Barcel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Bests FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Noronha. If Hermes Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Festas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Valentim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Bruno Festas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Valentim having to interfere. Barcel's Gentil Trigueiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bests FC. Flávio Telinhos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Valentim having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Isac Severiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Quintela struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Augusto Valentim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bests FC. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Cassiano Malafaia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Augusto Valentim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassiano Malafaia in the 93rd minute. Bests FC's Flávio Telinhos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Valentim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamilton Lobo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Bests FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
