Paulo Frois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Lisboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Basílio Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pombas's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Frois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Costa to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Ferreira in the 51st minute of play forced SC Lobatos's goalkeeper Paulo Frois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Frois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Dantas in the 53rd minute of play. Basílio Lisboa took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Frois. Paulo Frois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Paulo Frois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Lisboa scored 3-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Frois, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Basílio Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Frois having to interfere. In the 78th minute Basílio Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Frois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Eusébio Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 81st minute, Basílio Lisboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Frois was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Eusébio Dantas struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Paulo Frois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pombas. Danilo Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes in the game, Basílio Lisboa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 89th minute, Eusébio Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Lobatos's Paulo Frois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Lisboa in the 91st minute of play. Álvaro Ferreira's late challenge caught a SC Lobatos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Lobatos booed when Pombas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Dantas took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Frois. Paulo Frois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Pombas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
