With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Nóbrega in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Caneva saved FC Umbrella from getting behind. Eusébio Távora came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Umbrella's Wilfredo Manzanal. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Manzanal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. João Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eusébio Távora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Umbrella's Gil Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Académico do Porto's Diamantino Marinho got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Wilfredo Manzanal came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FC Umbrella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Manzanal couldn't finish the play. João Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidro Nóbrega to make the kick off. When Fernan Mark fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Umbrella's protests and gave Fernan Mark a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Umbrella's Fernan Mark got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, FC Umbrella's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Nóbrega came free, but Federico Caneva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wilfredo Manzanal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Académico do Porto's zone, Hélder Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Távora came out of the goal and Hélder Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 minutes, Inácio Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Umbrella and the Académico do Porto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute of the match Miguel Novais shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Federico Caneva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wilfredo Manzanal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Umbrella's Inácio Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC Umbrella fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when FC Umbrella's Wilfredo Manzanal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Umbrella played a much better game than Académico do Porto and deserved their victory. The Académico do Porto players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
