Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isidoro Palmeira started the match with the kick off. Delfim Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Palmeira in the 3rd minute of play. Amílcar Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Carlos Malta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Malta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Maia in the 12th minute of the match. Alcino Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pedra FC's zone, Alcino Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Antunes came out of the goal and Alcino Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Alcino Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedra FC's Delfim Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filinto Pestana kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Amílcar Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carlos Malta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Amílcar Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Malta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Arnelas Sport Club's Carlos Malta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Arnelas Sport Club from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Arnelas Sport Club's Lucílio Cortez got a free kick in the 37th minute. Amílcar Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Carlos Malta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Arnelas Sport Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pedra FC:s goal. Arnelas Sport Club:s Carlos Malta showed great skill when he stopped Álvaro Almeida:s penalty. Carlos Malta was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Álvaro Almeida capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Álvaro Almeida really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Afonso Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílcar Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carlos Malta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lázaro Ruas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Amílcar Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Arnelas Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Castanheira to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Malta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Maia's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Duarte Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Malta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Branco in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Afonso Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Malta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Pedra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Amílcar Branco put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Malta. If Afonso Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arnelas Sport Club's goalkeeper Carlos Malta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Abreu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Amílcar Branco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Malta was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
