Spectators: 1643 (Terracing: 2, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jaime Trindade made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Malta came free, but David Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Trindade in the 6th minute of play forced portugal's goalkeeper David Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Júlio Luz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaime Nóbrega. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Porto in the 14th minute of play forced SC Santao's goalkeeper Jaime Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Jaime Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Malta took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Figueiredo. David Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. David Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Malta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. portugal's Júlio Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Marco Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Nóbrega having to interfere. Manuel Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 48 minutes, Júlio Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Luz made a kick off. After 53 played minutes SC Santao got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Soeiro. Eliseu Malta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but David Figueiredo made a huge save. With a little luck, portugal's David Figueiredo got control of the ball when Eliseu Malta tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Jaime Trindade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Figueiredo, 2-3. SC Santao's Jacinto Soeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for portugal. Júlio Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Nóbrega having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, SC Santao's Jaime Trindade made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, one of SC Santao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Santao. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Espírito Santo during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th match minute, SC Santao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Espírito Santo to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Tiago Lopes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Júlio Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Júlio Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see portugal lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
