The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the portugal defense, Elpidio Lesardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Figueiredo. Elpidio Lesardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but David Figueiredo made a huge save. portugal's David Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Lesardo in the 13th minute of play. portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Elpidio Lesardo scored to the left of an out of position David Figueiredo, making the score, 3-0. After 17 minutes, Nuno Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zebras FC and the portugal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Nuno Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Júlio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cardoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, portugal's Júlio Luz got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 27 played minutes portugal got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Luz. The crowd rose to their feet as Henrique Leal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Figueiredo. That made the score 4-0 in the 30 minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Gomez came free, but David Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, portugal's goalkeeper David Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gürhan Erçelik. David Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Lesardos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got David Figueiredo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute of the match, Emanuel Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Figueiredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

After 74 minutes of play, Zebras FC's Feliberto Gomez made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Lesardo in the 90th minute of the match. Feliberto Gomez struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. David Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zebras FC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zebras FC fully deserved thier win.
