With an all-out effort, Green Lions's Daniel Karlsson threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cláudio Laureano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Leitão during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Green Lions got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Leitão. Emanuel Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Valadão having to interfere. In the 16th minute Afonso Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Valadão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Laureano took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Karlsson. Daniel Karlsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Green Lions's Cláudio Laureano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniel Karlsson. Daniel Karlsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A collision led to Vaz F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Emanuel Faro hit a great ball. With a little luck, Vaz F.C.'s Daniel Karlsson got control of the ball when Heitor Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heitor Toscano came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Daniel Karlsson could save by the left post. If Emanuel Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Cláudio Laureano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Cardoso hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cláudio Laureano to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Aquilino Cerqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Green Lions's Cláudio Laureano got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vaz F.C.'s zone, Eusébio Cortez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Karlsson came out of the goal and Eusébio Cortez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Vaz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Laureano came free, but Daniel Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Zarco Valadão throw himself and got hold of the ball when Emanuel Faro in the 72ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Afonso Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Heitor Toscano made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Karlsson. Vaz F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 81 minutes into the game, Cristiano Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaz F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Lions the free kick. After 81 played minutes Vaz F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Dias. If Emanuel Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Karlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Laureano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Emanuel Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Vaz F.C.'s Afonso Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zarco Valadão. Zarco Valadão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Green Lions walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
