Francisco Carvalho's late challenge caught a Machio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Refontoura United getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Francisco Carvalho hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Paiva in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Fagundes saved Machio FC from getting behind. Evandro Fagundes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Carvalho in the 12th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Jaime Paiva notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Machio FC's Evandro Fagundes. Evandro Fagundes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evandro Fagundes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Carvalho in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moisés Pimenta got free with Patxi Delgado in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 played minutes Refontoura United got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Santos. Moisés Pimenta took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patxi Delgado. Patxi Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Sandro Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Moisés Pimentas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Patxi Delgado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 35 minutes into the match, Refontoura United's goalkeeper Patxi Delgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moisés Pimenta. Evandro Fagundes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Paiva in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Machio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerónimo Garcez to maneuver through the defense. Patxi Delgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moisés Pimenta went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaime Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Evandro Fagundes made a huge save. Jaime Paiva succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-5. Patxi Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Paiva in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The supporters of Refontoura United booed when Machio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antero Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 minutes, Simão Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Refontoura United and the Machio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Evandro Fagundes managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Refontoura United's Jaime Paiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Refontoura United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Machio FC.
