An unexpectedly hard shot by Timóteo Fiúza in the 20th minute of play forced Juncal FC's goalkeeper Hugo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Forjaes booed when Juncal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Ávila didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Juncal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Gama to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, Forjaes's Eusébio Regueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Moura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Forjaes reached it. 31 minutes into the match, Teófilo Vaz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Juncal FC's Hugo Moura. Hugo Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Teófilo Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Forjaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teófilo Vaz couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Timóteo Fiúza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forjaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Timóteo Fiúza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timóteo Fiúza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hugo Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Braga was the one to do the kick off. If Vicente Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Forjaes's Teófilo Vaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romão Lages could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Diego Valério made a huge save. Rodrigo Ávila kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Juncal FC's goalkeeper Hugo Moura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romão Lages fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Valério having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Juncal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Gama to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Forjaes's zone, Vicente Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Valério came out of the goal and Vicente Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Vicente Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juncal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Ávila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
