Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Manuel Caldeira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alexandre Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Barbosa in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Barbosa in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Peixoto saved LX GALAXY from getting behind. Jaime Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 11th minute, when LX GALAXY's Elias Costa after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Delfim Antunes in Coles FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. If Manuel Caldeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in LX GALAXY's zone, António Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Peixoto came out of the goal and António Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the game, Herberto Teves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LX GALAXY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coles FC the free kick. Herberto Teves kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 27 played minutes, LX GALAXY's Oliver Kahn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delfim Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LX GALAXY reached it. Miguel Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Bernardo Martins fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coles FC's protests and gave Bernardo Martins a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Coles FC's Bernardo Martins got a free kick in the 45th minute. Manuel Caldeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 51st minute, Miguel Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coles FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Manuel Caldeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Miguel Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Quental received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Delfim Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Ramiro Quental who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coles FC's Delfim Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If António Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Quental received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Delfim Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Ramiro Quental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Manuel Caldeira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Coles FC's Delfim Antunes. Delfim Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delfim Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Quental, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes LX GALAXY got a freekick which was hit by Rui Lessa. António Barbosa took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Peixoto. Alexandre Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Coles FC!
