Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) André Vilaverde started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Covide's zone, Leandro Poças stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Pires came out of the goal and Leandro Poças tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Fernandes during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jaguars's João Fernandes got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 minutes, Baltasar Lamego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaguars and the Covide players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Marques was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Henrique Guarda fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covide's protests and gave Henrique Guarda a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Covide getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Henrique Guarda hit a great ball. After 25 minutes of play, Jaguars's Leandro Poças made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Aquilino Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaguars's Aquilino Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Marques in the 38th minute of play. Covide's Adelino Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Vilaverde in the 44th minute of play. Adelino Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Vilaverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Marques to make the kick off. Jaguars's Aquilino Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Resende in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Jorge Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaguars's Aquilino Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Marques in the 58th minute of play forced Jaguars's goalkeeper Aquilino Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Covide's Adelino Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Covide from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute Raul Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Jorge Marques notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jaguars's Aquilino Branco. Aquilino Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aquilino Branco came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Covide's Jorge Marques. But to his dismay, Jorge Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Aquilino Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Poças in the 87th minute. If Bernardo Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Leandro Poças recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
