Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jorge Leiria made the kick off which started today's match. Mini àguias's Délio de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Leite in the 4th minute of play. Plácido Severo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Vasco Dantas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Montalegre's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hilário Velasques 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Plácido Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mini àguias's supporters rose to their feet, but Plácido Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Paredes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vasco Dantas came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernardo Paredes slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Hilário Velasques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mini àguias's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilário Velasques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Mini àguias getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dércio Alves hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Plácido Severo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vasco Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 36th minute Jaime Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hilário Velasques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasco Dantas was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Hilário Velasques sped through Montalegre's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vasco Dantas. Plácido Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vasco Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Plácido Severo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Plácido Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dércio Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55thth minute of the game Plácido Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montalegre's Vasco Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vasco Dantas came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Mini àguias's Bernardo Paredes. But to his dismay, Bernardo Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Vasco Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dércio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Mini àguias's Dércio Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vasco Dantas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 70 played minutes Montalegre got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Simões. After a defensive mix-up in Montalegre's zone, Plácido Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Dantas came out of the goal and Plácido Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Dércio Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vasco Dantas. Montalegre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dércio Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. In the 84th minute, Plácido Severo made a precise shot to the right of Vasco Dantas. Montalegre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Simão Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Montalegre's Vasco Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Plácido Severo in the 90th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Plácido Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasco Dantas was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When Mini àguias's Hilário Velasques in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montalegre's goalie prevented a goal. Plácido Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Plácido Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. Mini àguias's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
