Cristiano Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Lobo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Coelho's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Diogo Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Heitor Assis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Cidadelha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Assis couldn't finish the play. Benedito Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Cândido Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bretanha FC and the Cidadelha players grew even worse after the yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, one of Bretanha FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Diamantino Borba placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Diogo Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Coelho in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 minutes, José Moniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cidadelha and the Bretanha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cidadelha's José Moniz got a free kick in the 45th minute. Caetano Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Augusto Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Rodrigo Vilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bretanha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Vilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caetano Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Bretanha FC's Diogo Lobo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Bretanha FC from getting a goal against them. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Benedito Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bretanha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cidadelha the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Benedito Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cidadelha's Diamantino Borba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bretanha FC. After 76 minutes of play, Cidadelha's Cristiano Bessa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Lobo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Augusto Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Alexandre Coelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diogo Lobo came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandre Coelho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 91st minute. Caetano Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 98th minute.
