Spectators: 6811 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Carreco FC's Lisandro Garcez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aparício Roriz came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Águias Negras's Luís Castro. But to his dismay, Luís Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Resende in the 19th minute of play forced Carreco FC's goalkeeper Aparício Roriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Resende struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Aparício Roriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águias Negras. After 23 played minutes Carreco FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Mourato. In the 24th minute of the match Afonso Assis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aparício Roriz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Xavier Malafaias short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Rogério Henriques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nuno Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Águias Negras's Rogério Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Águias Negras from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Nuno Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Garcez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rogério Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Luís Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águias Negras's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aparício Roriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Viriato Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Águias Negras's Nuno Sousa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Carreco FC's Xavier Alvarenga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 55th minute, Lisandro Garcez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 60 in the game by Carlos Resende from a close distance when the talented Aparício Roriz managed to make a qualified save. Carreco FC's players were relieved. If Xavier Malafaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Carlos Resende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Águias Negras and the Carreco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Águias Negras getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Carlos Resende hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aparício Roriz. That made the score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. Águias Negras's Afonso Assis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carreco FC. After 82 played minutes, Águias Negras's Emanuel Santarém shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aparício Roriz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Águias Negras reached it. 85 minutes into the match, Carlos Resende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aparício Roriz. Carreco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Resende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Carlos Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Águias Negras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
