The supporters of Gravelos FC booed when SC Frandina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higino Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higino Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Frandina's zone, Manuel Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Durães came out of the goal and Manuel Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Frandina's Rui Durães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Oliveira in the 29th minute of play. Rui Durães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Leite in the 37th minute of play. Amadeu Matos made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Norberto Regueira sent off a good shot on target. Norberto Regueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Paiva's late challenge caught a SC Frandina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Gravelos FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Paiva. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Regueira got free with Amadeu Matos in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Oliveira in the 48th minute of play forced SC Frandina's goalkeeper Rui Durães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SC Frandina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gravelos FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Amílcar Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Caio Mourato's late challenge caught a Gravelos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caio Mourato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Caio Mourato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gravelos FC booed when SC Frandina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Antas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Amílcar Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gravelos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Oliveira couldn't finish the play. Bento Conde hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Higino Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Norberto Regueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
