The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Baía during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Raul Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Nuno Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belchior Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 19th minute, Aquilino Sacramento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Basílio Caldas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Peredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ExtravaGanza Vypers the free kick. Belchior Paiva was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and David Oliveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Oliveira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. If David Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, ExtravaGanza Vypers's Nuno Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belchior Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when ExtravaGanza Vypers's David Oliveira in the 42nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Belchior Paiva was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Peredo through an amazing save. Aristides Ferro's late challenge caught a ExtravaGanza Vypers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Ferro helped the player get up and apologised. Aristides Ferro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when David Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Raul Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Amaral. ExtravaGanza Vypers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raul Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 59 played minutes, ExtravaGanza Vypers's Sérgio Baptista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Belchior Paiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ExtravaGanza Vypers reached it. After a rather tough play, ExtravaGanza Vypers's António Macedo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Raul Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, David Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belchior Paiva. SC Peredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If David Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Nuno Matos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of SC Peredo's Belchior Paiva. Belchior Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 87 minutes, David Oliveira made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Peredo's Belchior Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Belchior Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ExtravaGanza Vypers had played much better football throughout.
