Valentim Barcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Paredes in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cambelas FC's goalkeeper Valentim Barcelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Carvalheira's late challenge caught a SC Escariz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Carvalheira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cambelas FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Diego Carvalheira hit a great ball. Humberto Avelar charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Avelar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Humberto Avelar hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. António Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Amaral made a kick off. Pedro Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Barcelos having to interfere. If Manuel Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cambelas FC's Valentim Barcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Amaral in the 61st minute of play. If António Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Álvares's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Pedro Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Barcelos having to interfere. With a little luck, Cambelas FC's Valentim Barcelos got control of the ball when Manuel Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Juvenal Fiúza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 played minutes Cambelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Fonseca. Pedro Amaral struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Valentim Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Escariz. Pedro Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Barcelos having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Serafim Álvares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Veiga was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
