Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdemar Sardinha started the match with the kick off. Afonso Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Safara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Meireles to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar Sardinha in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Pinheiro saved ATLANTYS BAR from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Safara's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Miranda came free, but António Lages reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Safara got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Araújo. Valdemar Sardinha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Pinheiro having to interfere. Emílio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Sardinha in the 29th minute of the match. ATLANTYS BAR's Emílio Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Sardinha in the 31st minute of play. Inácio Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. António Lages made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Manuel Henriques sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Safara's António Lages got control of the ball when Manuel Henriques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Petros Georgiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Safara's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Henriques came free, but António Lages reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Sardinha in the 62nd minute of play forced ATLANTYS BAR's goalkeeper Emílio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Manuel Henriques came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ATLANTYS BAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Henriques couldn't finish the play. Enzo Bento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Emílio Pinheiro made a huge save. Valdemar Sardinha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emílio Pinheiro having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Bento got free with Emílio Pinheiro in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomás Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Lages having to make a save. The long shot by Octávio lacerda in the 91st minute really tested Emílio Pinheiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Safara's Valdemar Sardinha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emílio Pinheiro. That made the score 0-1 after 97 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Safara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
