Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) FC Contumil's Vítor Camargo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donato Medeiros's late challenge caught a FC Contumil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Rubim Perdigão, was totally fooled by FC Contumil's Micael Eanes, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 13 minutes into the match, FC Contumil's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Calado came free, but Olívio Diegues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15th play minutes Israel Cortez shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Olívio Diegues and just under the crossbar into goal. Olívio Diegues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Cortez in the 19th minute of play. Olívio Diegues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Calado in the 21st minute of the match. Israel Palha took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubim Perdigão. Rubim Perdigão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Israel Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lourenço Brito in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubim Perdigão saved SC Recardais from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, FC Contumil's Lourenço Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubim Perdigão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Recardais's Basílio Gentil got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Israel Cortez was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Filipe Calado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Recardais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Calado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vítor Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Contumil's protests and gave Vítor Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. Israel Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Olívio Diegues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Calado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Olívio Diegues skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Filipe Ávila managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Contumil's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Ávila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubim Perdigão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubim Perdigão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Ávila in the 69th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Israel Palha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Contumil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Recardais the free kick. FC Contumil's Vítor Camargo got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Vítor Camargo off the ground. In the 79th minute, Vítor Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes FC Contumil got a freekick which was hit by Israel Palha. Filipe Calado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olívio Diegues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Israel Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Olívio Diegues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Calado got free with Olívio Diegues in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olívio Diegues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
