Joaquim Zambujal started the match with the kick off. The supporters of MakroRio booed when FreeStylers C.P. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graciano Torcato didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Joaquim Zambujal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MakroRio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Zambujal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Joel Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot. FreeStylers C.P.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Falcão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bryan Van den Wyngaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Van den Wyngaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Telinhos made a huge save. Cristóvão Telinhos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Zambujal in the 16th minute of the match. Aparício Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Zambujal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cristóvão Telinhos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryan Van den Wyngaert in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some careless play in the FreeStylers C.P. defense, Bryan Van den Wyngaert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Telinhos. The FreeStylers C.P. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Telinhos should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Van den Wyngaert in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Telinhos saved FreeStylers C.P. from getting behind. FreeStylers C.P.'s Cristóvão Telinhos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Queirós in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Graciano Torcato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FreeStylers C.P.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MakroRio the free kick. In the 59th minute, Graciano Torcato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joaquim Zambujal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Bryan Van den Wyngaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Telinhos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FreeStylers C.P.'s Cristóvão Telinhos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Zambujal in the 66th minute of play. Cristóvão Telinhos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, MakroRio's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aparício Mendes. 78 minutes into the match, Joaquim Zambujal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FreeStylers C.P.'s Cristóvão Telinhos. Cristóvão Telinhos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88thth minute of the game Bryan Van den Wyngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FreeStylers C.P.'s Cristóvão Telinhos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, MakroRio's Bryan Van den Wyngaert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Telinhos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Van den Wyngaert in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Telinhos saved FreeStylers C.P. from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Zambujal in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristóvão Telinhos prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
