Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jarbas Telinhos made the kick off which started today's match. Zeferino Assis made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Luís Mourato sent off a good shot on target. Norberto Vale struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Cristóvão Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalaia FC. If Américo Amado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, Raposeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamilton Sacadura to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Atalaia FC booed when Raposeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio França didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Atalaia FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cristóvão Coimbra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norberto Vale went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Atalaia FC's zone, Luís Mourato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeferino Assis came out of the goal and Luís Mourato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeferino Assis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Mourato in the 49th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
If Luís Mourato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Mourato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Zeferino Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio França charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laércio França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Norberto Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristóvão Coimbra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jarbas Telinhos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raposeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Telinhos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeferino Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norberto Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Américo Amado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Coimbra having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Américo Amado in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Coimbra saved Raposeira from getting behind. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
