Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Magalhães in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Magalhães made a kick off. Raimundo Esparteiro's late challenge caught a SC Candeeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Esparteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Portista FC's Raimundo Esparteiro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. SC Candeeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Catarino Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Portista FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Leandro Magalhães scored to the left of an out of position Leandro Guimarães, making the score, 0-2. SC Candeeira's Leandro Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute Raimundo Esparteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Taborda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Celso Machado heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. SC Candeeira played a much better game than Portista FC and deserved their victory. The Portista FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
