But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Andrade couldn't finish the play. Lourenço Paredess short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Cristiano Ferro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 38th minute Joaquim Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Ferro having to interfere. Lourenço Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Paulo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SC Aveloso getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gustavo Almeida hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, SC Aveloso's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 80th minute of the match Lucas Cabral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristiano Ferro skillfully saved the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Nuno Leão put in a rough tackle. 83 minutes into the game, one of Caravelas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Aveloso fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caravelas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
