The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cassiano Vidigal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Mirandela getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. SC Mirandela's Porfírio Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Jonsson in the 11th minute of play. SC Junqueira's Lars Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porfírio Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Joaquim Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Roberto Amaro fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mirandela's protests and gave Roberto Amaro a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes SC Mirandela got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Amaro. 28 minutes into the game, Ricardo Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Mirandela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Junqueira the free kick. In the 28th match minute, SC Mirandela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. After 33 minutes of play, SC Junqueira's Afonso Vaz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Porfírio Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Vaz in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Joaquim Marinho made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lars Jonsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Porfírio Nascimento. SC Mirandela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Jonsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Mané da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Regalado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Mané da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Marinho in the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Afonso Vaz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Porfírio Nascimento, passed just outside the right post. In the 68th minute, Afonso Vaz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Porfírio Nascimento. The goal made the score 0-4. A hard shot 79 in the game by Lars Jonsson from a close distance when the talented Porfírio Nascimento managed to make a qualified save. SC Mirandela's players were relieved. Porfírio Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars Jonsson in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Jonsson got free with Porfírio Nascimento in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porfírio Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Lars Jonsson sent off a good shot on target. Martinho Zarco hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. SC Junqueira's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
